Pink Boots

Tolina is wearing a dress that her Grandma and Grandpa Phil sent her for Christmas, along with the hat and pink boots. Her Papa Mickey, Great Grandpa, and Uncle Ray made the Rocking horse. She is growing into such a pretty little lady!!!

What a fight in he mornings!!

Every morning with out fail, there is a fight, between mother and daughter. This little girl wakes up bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to start the day with a great big smile, she is ready to learn, play, explore, and just have fun. On the other hand, mom gets home from work just as her little one is waking up; mom is ready to crawl into bed, to sleep the day away as she did prior to the birth of her buddle of joy, having taken care of people all nigh long. Mom gets breakfast started; oat meal is in the microwave, little one in her chair, apple juice in her sippy cup. With oat meal all over the counter, little girl and in her hair the fight begins. Mom tries to clean off all of the oat meal, before she starts to comb her little one’s hair. A shrill scream comes from the little girl when she gets sight of the comb. “You’re hurting me!” she yells before the first piece of hair is touched. Mom tries to complete the task with out the painful removal of hair. Mother knows that some day again her little girl will again have her Daddy’s hair line. Alas, hair is done too cute for words and every one is happy.

Tolina Loves to Swim.
Lena started off the summer shivering though the pool; we started going out to the pool about two weeks ago after I finished cleaning the pool just after it turned blue. At first she wanted mom to hold her all of the time, occasionally jumping in. Lena has gotten more brave now she holds on to a ring and kicks around the pool even in to the deep end with mom quickly behind. Lena carries around a swimming suit just in case someone wants to go swimming. She calls the Polaris an alligator loves to scream when it comes around. Last night she did not want to get out of the pool until her lips were almost blue and shaking. She kept telling Eric to “get in” “Daddy get in now!” I love being a mom Tolina brings so much joy into my life.

To the Zoo in Atlanta, it was so cold we had to bundle up!

Tolina, Mommy and Daddy traveled to Atlanta Ga to see Grammy and Grandpa Phil who were there for a BBQ convention. Since it was still February we celebrated Grammy's Birthday. We had so much fun hanging out with them. We miss you both so much.
